Hey guys, just curious and i think its a long shot. But is there a mod for BFME1 which allows you to create your own hero?

I think the closest thing would be Grim's Hero Mod. Download link: http://forums.revora...grims-hero-mod/

It's very non-canon and you don't actually "create" a hero, but it's worth a play anyways!

It's a .7z file which can be opened with any zip file software like WinRAR or WinZip. Inside is a .big file which is the standard method of installing BFME mods.

You can find an explanation how on this article here: http://www.the3rdage...tem-208?addview

I will give a very basic crash course also in case you find this article too confusing. You need to take the .big file from the .7z file (called herogrim.big) and place it in your "My Battle for Middle-earth Files" folder which is located in; "C:\Users\*yourusername*\AppData\Roaming\My Battle for Middle-earth Files"

Then you need to copy your existing BFME shortcut to make a new one to run the mod specifically. With your new shortcut you made, right click on it and go to properties. In the "Target" field you need to add an extra bit at the end.

So it will originally say this; "C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\The Battle for Middle-earth ™\lotrbfme.exe"

Change it to this; "C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\The Battle for Middle-earth ™\lotrbfme.exe" -mod herogrim.big

Click apply, and you can run the mod with the new shortcut. To play un-modded version of the game, just launch it with the original shortcut where you did not edit the "Target" field.
