Can someone please explain what the "FlankedPenalty" attribrute does in an objects armor template?

As I understand it:

Flank damage is damage done when a battalion attacks (flanks) another from the back or sides. This means that additional flank damage is added to normal damage, which is leads to a greater damage output done by the flanking battalion.

FlankPenalty is basically the additional damage output in percentage that the concerned unit absorbs from attacks.

This is my Armor code:

 

Armor MyTestArmor
  Armor = DEFAULT          100%
  Armor = SLASH            100%
  Armor = PIERCE          80%
  Armor = SPECIALIST      25%
  Armor = CRUSH            200%
  Armor = CAVALRY   200%
  Armor = SIEGE            100%
  Armor = FLAME            100%
  Armor = FROST          100%
  Armor = MAGIC            100%
  Armor = HERO            100%
  Armor = HERO_RANGED      100%
  Armor = STRUCTURAL   50%
  FlankedPenalty = 50%
End
 
 
Problem is, FlankedPenalty doesn't work, I add 50%, 25%, 100%, 0%, 200% or even 50000%, All are same, it doesn't work.
Enemy unit hit from Back, left or right or even infront, all are same.
Enemy unit kills my units from 4 Hits, so any position that I put my unit, it dies from 4 Hits every time.

So, do you know How this works or why it doesn't worked for me ?

I heard a lot, that unit has less* armor from back, but when I did test, I didn't see that stuff.
