ITC, I have found the problem :p :p :p

hahahahahaha

I had AppData/Roaming/MisarchivosdeLaBatallaporlaTierraMedia and AppData/Roaming/MyBattleforMiddle-EarthFiles hahahaha

I don't know why, maybe because the old game, I sincerely don't know, I have just seen that I had two!!! One of them had ladders, and I thought... that's new! why? And its maps folder was empty. And then my head opened to light xd

Thanks ITC :D At least it wasn't a major problem :p

Hi again :)

I am trying to install some of the maps you have created from T3Aonline.net! However, when I enter into AppData/Roaming/MisarchivosdeLaBatallaporlaTierraMedia/Maps, and I paste the maps there, they are not loaded in the list of maps when playing either skirmish, local network or in internet, and therefore they are unplayable for me.

In my ignorance, I think that the reason is that the language patch I installed from T3A online translates the maps which came originally from the instalation of T3A online and Forshire's online edition, but not them. Could it be that it is incompatible to have maps whose name and descriptions are in English with those which are already in Spanish?

If so, or if you think that the problem is somewhere else, how can I fix it?

Thank you very much!

You select 'Custom Maps' in the game lobby right?;)

If you are using the original english installation you could try to place your maps in appdata/roaming/my battle for middle earth files/maps.

Does AppData/Roaming/MisarchivosdeLaBatallaporlaTierraMedia contain your options.ini and other files?

Hi ITC :)

Neither in custom maps nor official maps :( The new maps don't appear!*

I used the spanish installation (or english, and then I used the spanish patch from T3A online).

AppData/Roaming/MisarchivosdeLaBatallaporlaTierraMedia contains my options.ini, and they work (I mean, I once had problems with internet and when changing the parameter gamespy in options.ini, it worked, so that folder is currently working).

AppData/Roaming/MisarchivosdeLaBatallaporlaTierraMedia contains a folder called maps. I placed the new maps inside that folder, extracted, either in a subfolder or without subfolder. It doesn't work either :( And I have tried with several maps...

offtopic: There is a map in T3Aonline.net that is no more downloadable. I have written a comment on it. I think it is Fudge' map collection.

*Do they appear in custom maps? :p I did not check it when I first post the thread. But I have and they don't appear there neither.

The directory structure is "Maps/map mp mapname/" the actual files are below the last directory.

They will only show up in 'Custom Maps'.

Do you have the same problem when you remove the spanish patch again?

I attach an image showing my structure.

It doesn't work neither with nor without spanishpatch, and neither in local network nor in skirmish nor in Internet on T3A servers.

I don't know why :S "Custom map" is empty when I click it!

I have no idea. Move the file 'MapCache.ini' out of the directory and start again...

Does any of your friends have the same problem?
