Is there any way to adjust unit movement autonomy in PR ?

Is there any way to seperate targeting from movement clicks (IE: if you tell it to move, then click to attack, it keeps moving but focuses weapons that bear onto that target )

I doubt it, but just curious as this could be used to mitigate the poor path finding of the engine.
Of course I doubt it's possible for the same reason.

I don't know about coding but I've found a trick I use.

Move order, attack order, move order.

That always has seemed to work rather well for me personally. Even after the second move order is issued, the unit still attacks the last target mainly I feel, could just be my imagination/placebo effect though.

Works well for keeping unit direction orientations too.

*note: this works better in space than ground

I do the same.
it doesn't always work but is better than nothing.

On ground, there's no hope.

It'd be better if there was a setting for all units to kill their engiles and make them static in a way.
At least then you wouldn't go back to an area of the map to discover a unit decided to take off straight line (where normaly it'd spend a minute going in circles because of a nearby object) right into enemy guns.
