KW : 'could not connect to the backend server'

Hello,
Firstly thank you in advance.
I am having an issue, after following the tutorial video step for step.
Message received in Kane's Wrath is 'could not connect to the backend server' .
I have tried both, but to confirm the password is the one set on revora right? I am trying to log in using a new username while my old one is being processed. My log in name is the same as on revora, I login in through the 'C&C online' download.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Still not working.. any help please? Might be something quite obvious, I'm not sure. Any others having this problem?

The server should be up. It sounds like you're still trying to connect to the GameSpy servers.
