... and is looking for critiques and commissions of her artwork. She's currently on DeviantArt as Vylott, and I'd appreciate if you guys could give her some advice, and see if it's your type of thing, to commission some work.

Well... not the most original subject matter.  That being abnormally skinny women looking sad about something: the flag-ship of DeviantArt content.  They look really good, though.  A good understanding of human anatomy (maybe not the nose-to-brow line in the flower eye one), nice focus on bright colors, cool lighting... the backgrounds are alright.  The flower-eye one has those Christmas Tree star things in the bottom right that just look... bad.

But she's already good at making stuff... My only advice would to be more remarkable if you want to get noticed by the art world these days.  It seems like in the 21st century, everyone and their Nanny does art, and sometimes that dividing line is subject matter. Really diverse subjects really do help in gaining prestige tokens in the modern art world.  As nice as these look, the subjects don't quite turn the internet's clumsy head.

Bookmarked in my to do list. I have an old DA account to (with nothing on it). =D

I could give my critique interesting perspective and mark it according to a year 12 art curriculum?

What does she want to convey? Currently, I get exactly what the image portrays: a girl in a cyan-ish dress with braided red hair. If I try harder, I guess her closed eyes and hands convey a certain timid emotion, but I can't say what. The second one you linked is similar, and I don't get the background at all. The strokes of shading on the face (cheekbones in particular) are precise and well-done, though, leading to my next point:

The technique is decent (I like the hair strokes on the redhead you linked here). The anatomy is decent (depending on how realistic she wants to be I think the heads might be a little big), but all in all the pieces are not very remarkable. If you want to get my interest, you need to portray something that I cannot see on dozens of other profiles on the same site. I think they need more thought, concept, and iteration. More personality.

I think that for the kind of art she's going for, she's got the groundwork technique down; now she just needs to find more interesting subjects, and perhaps read up on some common composition/positioning techniques and lighting. Applying some harsh clair obscur would immediately make each of these more interesting. Practice practice practice and I think she could go on to create great stuff.

Well, we nearly said the exact same things... so there's that.

i´m a noob on this topic.

but imho she is really good at drawing/sketching but lacks in detail.

the shading seems a bit half-hearthed (i don´t really get the pink part at ellbow/shoulder) while the hand is very well drawn.

it appears flat which isnt a problem if she is going for the comic/anime style.

imho it could have a bit more depth but then again, i´m a total noob
