I've never been able to get into the game. Nothing pops up after I press "Launch BFME". Even before using the T3A:Online launcher I wasn't able to get into the game. I tried the Options.ini fix but that hasn't fixed anything. Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks in advance!

Run the launcher as administrator.

It sounds like a faulty installation to me.

Which bfme? Which version (fan-made, original?), operating system? Can you run the executable directly from the installation directory?

"To know what question we may reasonably propose is in itself a strong evidence of sagacity or intelligence. For if a question be in itself incongruous and begs for uncalled-for answers, it holds, sometimes, besides embarrassing the proposer, the disadvantage to seduce the unguarded listener into giving absurd answers, and we are presented with the ridiculous spectacle of one (as the ancients said) milking the he-goat, and the other holding a sieve beneath."

I'm running windows 7 and I'm trying to run the fan made version of bfme 2. I've tried going into the installation files and running the executable from there but I just click on the icon and nothing happens. I've tried running as administrator and changing the compatibility mode but neither of them worked.

Edit: It would make sense that it's a faulty installation, but I'm not sure how to fix it.

OK, so I'm now able to enter the game if I set the patch to 1.00, but when I set it to either patch 1.06 or 1.08, nothing happens when I try to open the game. Has anyone else had this problem before?

You may have cracked the game. Don't do that.

1) Don't make several threads for something that needs only one.
2) You have already been answered. http://forums.revora...ppens/?p=975194
3) Learn to freakin' read.

I'm sorry. I'm new and I don't know how to delete old threads. I don't want to have a cracked game but the game I paid for's CD no longer works. Is everyone in this forum running games off of CDs? Is it possible to download the game from forshire without "cracking" it? I'm just trying to figure this all out. Sorry for clogging up the forums.

To fix this all up, first uninstall BFME2. To the last file. All must go.

Then, install it again. First the 1.00 game, then patch it to 1.06 and then to 1.08 to get that patch switcher. At the end, download the T3A:Online launcher. Do not crack.

Then, download and extract the BFME2 mini-images. You will need Daemon Tools Lite or PowerISO to use them. The guide to using Daemon Tools is here and PowerISO here.

Finally, whenever you want to run the game, mount the mini-images and run BFME2.

This is a method used by the vast majority of BFME players.

Excellent! Thank you very much for the advice. A few questions: When I download the patches, should I use the "check for updates" button on the game client or should I download them online through a web browser?  Also, when you say "Do not crack", what does that mean? How does one "crack" the game? And when I mount the mini images and run BFME2, should I put both of them in 2 different Daemon tools drives and then click autorun?

Thanks again for your patience & advice. I really appreciate it.

To be on the safe side, download the patchers themselves. I don't know which language you are using, so here are the links to all of them. Someone else might find use of them:
Chinese (Simplified) | Chinese (Traditional) | Dutch | ENGLISH | French | German | Italian | Norwegian | Polish | Russian | Spanish | Swedish | Thai

For 1.08, go here: http://www.gamerepla...howtopic=937340

Also, when you say "Do not crack", what does that mean? How does one "crack" the game?

Do not replace your game EXE with a no-CD crack (an altered, mostly pirated release of the game EXE that removes copy protection and CD/DVD checking - BFME players don't use them because they cause compatibility issues).

And when I mount the mini images and run BFME2, should I put both of them in 2 different Daemon tools drives and then click autorun?

Only one will suffice. You can either autorun or run the shortcut.

This is a method used by the vast majority of BFME players.

So after I deleted all of my previous BFME files and then reinstalled, when I tried running the game without the mini images mounted, the "No CD" error didn't come up (what happens in this video is not what's happening to me in relation to the "No CD inserted" error ). It's behaving as it did before (not working with 1.06 and 1.08 but working with 1.00) However, the only things I downloaded were the files outlined under Installation guide in this page: http://forshire.blog...ad-bfme-ii.html I didn't download any kind of separate crack, and I didn't mess with any of the exe files.

Is there a way that my version of BFME2 automatically gets cracked when I download it? Do you think there's a file on my computer that I missed that is causing this? If so, where would I find it? I'm just confused because it's acting like cracked software but I haven't (to my knowledge) cracked it at all.

Sorry to keep going on and on about, I just haven't been able to get it to work. Thanks again for your help & patience!

Need Help

I installed the T3A Online Launcher and when I start the game with it, its going fine but when I click on "Multiplayer" -> "Online" it says:"Too install a Patch, you need Adminrights." but I already installed the PatchSwitcher and activated the newest Patch and can also play it on Singleplayer. Btw when I right click on the T3A Launcher there is no option to launch it as Admin.

PS: I use the disk.
