The Command and Conquer Generals and Zero Hour ladder season for the period 14 September to 1 October has now closed.

The ladders have been reset now and the race is on for the October season.

Here are the final September ladders:

Generals
Spoiler

Zero Hour
Spoiler

We will hold a competition in each game, which is open to four top players with priority by their rank, to determine the ladder champions for the month. The format is likely to be a single elimination Best of Three, starting off with #1 vs #4 and #2 vs #3.

Please could the top players from each game let me know if you want to play.

Congratulation and thank you to everyone that played on the ladders this month and endured the few teething difficulties we had. Those, hopefully, have all been eliminated now.

Why the Ladder only counts 1v1 Match . Beeing no1 of this List just means that someone good at playing Tournament Desert. The Ladder should count all Kind of games like it was last Month.

It needs more coding to record 2v2s. 1v1s were a priority before moving on to other things on the checklist. In TW/KW/RA3, 1v1 ladders were in focus before GameSpy went down. 2v2s were hardly looked at and were introduced on Shatabrick fairly late for RA3.

Right from the start, the ladders only counted 1v1 games. At the official launch, the map pool was restricted to official 1v1 maps in Zero Hour. There are presently no restrictions on the map in Generals.

Joking apart, we are considering adding Relax's 1vs1 maps to the Zero Hour map pool.    If other maps are to be added, we would have to be satisfied that they are appropriate for tournament games and that the majority of ladder players approve.

Would be cool if you can play in future nomoney games and get elo points fot that . Costom maps always was best part of generals but now they get less and less played for some reason .

That would not make sense. Everyone should get points under the same circumstances, else it would be unfair.

nodefc_alpine claims that the points you can gain/lose for a win/loss are always the same, no matter what ELO points you or your opponent have. Is that true?

He just lost against me and lost 33points (thats what he sais), i was like 50 points ahead.

How does the point-system work and what are the most/less points you can gain/lose and how big has the point difference to be for that?

Thanks

Hey!   You came #5 in the Zero Hour Ladder.    As #4 does not want to play, there is a place for you in the monthly champions competition;  code named "Ladder Wars"    Do you want to play?

Anyway, nodefc_alpine says a lot of things. :smilehuh:

No, the minimum points you can lose or gain is 5 points.   The maximum is 60.     The minimum and maximum kick in at about 420 points difference.    If players are on the same number of points, they should respectively gain and lose 33 points.

We are considering the making the gain for the winner slightly higher than the loss for the loser, to encourage people to risk playing better players.   I want to see a couple of full months before we address that.

Anyway, I hope you are interested in playing "Ladder Wars".   Can you let me know?

Alright. It was short notice. The other three have been posting about it on Gamereplays here. If you don't want to join in the discussion there, just post here or PM me any suggestions.

There is no need for everyone to play at the same time (although it would have been fun). If you can arrange and play your round against -DoMiNaToR-, that would be a good start. Please can you be sure to save the replays though, so I can write it up. Thanks!
