Password incorrect

If you have Gentool 6.7 installed, you should not use the launcher at all. You should make sure the launcher is not hooked to ZH (make sure there is no tick mark against ZH on the Hook menu). There was a server fault last night at about the time of your post. I suggest that you try again (not using the launcher) and see where we get to. Go to the full post

Hi I got Generals updated to latest patch. And I run the game as adminstrator and also have tried running the game the "normal" way. Have followed all the instructions and seen the video guide several times. I "KNOW" I have the correct password. But the game tells me "password is incorrect". Anyone have any suggestions?

It's easy to make mistakes with passwords, so can you, just to be sure, double click your avatar and check the password set for C&C:Online at the bottom of your profile?

If that does not shed any light on it, can you tell me (date and approximate time) when you last tried to log in and I'll check the server log to see if that tells us anything.

Thanks I actually wrote the wrong password. But  I now got the Message I should install Gentool. So I installed Gentool 6.7 which was the only one to be offered at gentool.net. Now when I launch Generals through the C&C online program, I get Message "unable to launch generals". I am able to launch generals in the "normal" way, but then I am refused to enter online. Any suggestions?

Tried it! Now I get the Message "couldnt find online matchmaker". I get that Message if I run the game Zero Hour With or without the launcher. And I click on join quick match and then I click Play game several times after that too. And I wait 7-8 minutes and at the end it just says "looking for online matchmaker" and then no more happens... The game is updated as well to latest patch. This is more or less the only game (C&C-series) I've had problems With playing online with...

You got me there.  :smile2ap: .   Quick match (Auto match) is not implemented yet (it's not implemented in any of the games yet), which is why you got that message.   It's on our to do list but not at the top of the list right now.     For the time being, you will have to look for a custom match.   You probably already know this, but you are best off looking in the 2vs2 lobby in Zero Hour.

For Generals ....  (not zero hour)  

 

Just created new account, getting wrong password error, i have updated generals to 1.8, installed gentool 6.9 , activated new revora account via email, used the username and password i used to create new revora account, 100% same password i signed up with.. launched the game with and with out C&C Online tool, tried, hooked and unhooked, still error wrong password,... any help?

think i know the problem, i didnt create the 2nd password specific to C&C , so dont have one, can i get one without creating a new revora account?

no matter, created a new account, didnt know how long response would be, all good now im in game lobby.... i almost gave up tho, that security check is a pain - 95% are unreadable.

Creating a new account never solves any issues and is against forum rules. I'm banning your first account, please do not make any more.
