Gameranger Hosting Problems

Alright, so basically:

I used to have a windows laptop that sucked hardcore, but somehow it was able to host on gameranger perfectly fine, albeit some lag when big battles happened.

I recently got a Macbook air and downloaded BFME using bootcamp and now my host is prtty bad and can only host 1v1 in gameranger. I purchased a new router thinking it would fix the problem, but still I cannot host well. In other peoples game I run perfectly fine.

Anyone have any idea what might be the problem?

The problem is GameRanger is not that great. Sorry, but we don't offer support for it.

What is it in comparison to games on the server?

"To know what question we may reasonably propose is in itself a strong evidence of sagacity or intelligence. For if a question be in itself incongruous and begs for uncalled-for answers, it holds, sometimes, besides embarrassing the proposer, the disadvantage to seduce the unguarded listener into giving absurd answers, and we are presented with the ridiculous spectacle of one (as the ancients said) milking the he-goat, and the other holding a sieve beneath."

I understand gameranger isn't that great, but that is not the problem. There is something wrong with my laptop or internet settings that is interfering with my hosting. I understand you guys are obviously in favor of the server, but I play on both , and I know there are a lot of smart people on here which is why I asked if any1 might know a solution. Thanks anyway I guess...

On the server it doesn't matter who the host is correct?

hmm, I have no experience with bootcamp, but I would think that's something to look at.

The host always matters
