what brings us to the question.. whats wrong with fu**ing Origin? :p

Hi, i just installed C&C3 Tiberium Wars from Origin, the game is fully updated.

I have installed C&C online launcher and registered in this forum here.

 

But at least when i try to connect to the "Online" part of the game using my Revora- Username and the

 C&C Online password, i get the "cannot reach backend server" problem.

 

i'm running on Win7 Prof. 64bit

Your game is patching properly so I suspect that you have a connection issue. I don't see you in the server log for today. Please try removing any Hamachi drivers or anything that may be affecting your connection. You should also make sure that the IP address set in Options->Network is an address on the network you use to connect to the internet. If there is more than one there, please a different one to the one that is presently set.

hi!

i have the same problem, i just type in my Revora Forum Name (Basti Rußkamp) and after that i get the warning: cannot reach Backend server. I turned off any other drivers

EDIT: i also checked the ip adresses! Tiberium Wars Kane Wrath Ultimate Collectors Edition. Red Alert Works fine so far

Thank you for your quick response, i removed Hamachi & all of it's drivers now. My IP adress in C&C - Network is a local adress 192.168.2.104.
I just installed the game erlier today and there were 2 IP's. But like i said now there's only this 1 local adress. i even can't change this IP
Problem keeps the same :(
 
*tried to shut down all firewalls too.

The IP setting looks OK.   I still can't see you in the server log, so I'm pretty sure that the problem is with your connection somehow.   Just to be sure, can you tell me the nick name you were using when you tried to log in.

i tried with "Basti Rußkamp", but maybe there is a problem with my name cause the letter "ß" doesnt exist on your american keyboard.

 

Maybe we could change my Forum Nick?

I used GHHolzmichl. I created anotjer forum ACC just to prevent that there went something wrong with this one but it's the same problem.
I think Basti sußkamp's connection should be OK vor? Cause it works with bis Red Alert 3?

Is it possible that origin itself Blocks the connection? I installed the game with 2 other persons, but they installed it from a normal DVD and their game is Working without any issues.

@Basti Rußkamp It is very likely your user name is causing problems if you can log into RA3 (using your email address). I will change it to Basti R.
 
@GHHolzmichl.   I am running out of ideas.    Your error log shows that your game is patching correctly, so it really does not sound like a problem with Origin. Do you think you could try an install from one of your friend's DVDs to see if that makes any difference? If it does, we can try to address the issue more specifically.

No, they are not checking the serial. They can't do that. As you have your own copy of the game anyway, you are not cheating anyone by doing it like that. I just suggested that you try that to see if you could connect, which would tell us whether the problem was with Origin or not.

Yeah, the Origin versions are a mess and they're only barely supported by us. The original versions are what you want to use.

I have faced this and there is no real solution
 
Origin really is blocking connection, sometime only for TW sometime only for KW

Recap : Before GameSpy closure, that kind of issues were already happening @ any platforms 70% caused by registration/activation missing.
- Try to register with EReg.exe (located in TW folder in Support folder -or make a research inside tw)
- Try to register with origin (with origin and/or on internet (like this)

- Other odd solution is www.pogo.com (wich appear many time as a solution like the others) (i wouldn't try this)

Ofc all that shouldn't help you, since it's now on Revora but there is a small chance that a missing activation/registration can cause origin to block any transmission.
Also i have read somewhere that the DRM on origin for KW have been updated but TW not, thats why there is that kind of issues where KW works but not TW


If you want to know if your problem is Origin related, please install a legitimate TW RETAIL CD version, found in any good icecream shop..



had the same problem. can not connect to backend server. as posted i tried disabling Origin in game. hooked the game onto Revora account C&C launcher. poof it worked finaly! i can go online after a week of googling for this problem. hope this helps. (i think C&C3 TW official server has shutdown)
