I HAVE READ THE HOW-TO THREAD

 

Dear Community,

 

I am reading a while now and i have no more ideas what to try.

 

I want to use RA3 with C&C Online. (Normal Version bought on Steam)

 

I tried it to start it the normal way.

 

Then with Admin rights.

 

Tried the hook thing:

 

- I'm having trouble using C&C:Online with Steam.

- Solution: Open the C&C:Online launcher and use the Hook menu to hook your game. 

1. Go into Steam and create a desktop shortcut for your game.

2. Open the C&C:Online launcher and go to the hooking menu. Hook your game. When Hooking, you should receive a prompt asking for your confirmation, this is how you know it worked. If you don't receive anything and the issue still occurs, check your anti-virus (Norton especially) as they are known to delete the hooking file. Add an exception for C&C:Online.

3. Launch the game using the shortcut Steam made for it on your desktop (if you don't have a shortcut, go into Steam and make one). The launcher should pop up, so select your game and off you go

 

 

I turned of my Anti virus (Kaspersky)

 

When i hook it. I dont get any message.

 

When it is hooked and i try to start it. Nothing will happen. The RA3 logo comes and then it stops again.

 

I am Running Windows 7.

 

The error log file is empty

 

I hope you guys can help me would be awesome.

yes i did C&C Online will start but not the game

Right, so you're sure you started fresh, created the shortcut, then hooked (meaning that if you did it before, you unhooked before trying my steps above)?

Did you try running Steam as admin before you made your shortcut?   That has worked for other people with the same symptoms.     If you are going to try that, make sure you delete the old shortcut and unhook first.   Run Steam as admin, make the new shortcut and then hook in that order.

i did it exactly as u said. no chance of result.

If the game is not hooked, does it start normally from a short cut?
