Handbook
* This handbook is for forum leaders (moderators) to read and follow. If a forum leader does not follow these rules there moderation powers will be removed.

Doubt
*If your in doubt about anything just stop and do nothing. If it need attention PM me or post in the hostees forum and i'll sort out the problem.

Board Guidelines
* First: Read the Board Guidelines which all forum members should follow.

*What each means to a moderator:

FLAMES - Flames will not be tolerated in this forum.
DO: Use the warning system and give them as many warnings as you want.
DON'T: Lower your-self to there level and flame back. If a moderator flames anyone there powers will be removed.

FREE - Freedom of speech.
DO: Encorage the free and OPEN use of the forum, where anyone can say anything thay like.

DON'T: SPAM.
TRUTH - Do not lie.
DO: Warn if you want. It's not that big a deal.
DON'T: Encorage the theif.

WAREZ - Anyone caugt discussing warez will be given 2 warning point.
DO: Talk wabout warez in hidden forums.
DON'T: Talk about warez in public (Google might spot it).

OPEN - Do not worry about staying 'on-topic'.
DO: Alow topics to change topic. It's best to 'advise' that people make a new topic.
DON'T: Clean a topic to make it on-topic.

SIZE - Do not have a sig over 450pix in width or 100pix in height.
DO: Use the moderator CP to remove big sigs.
DON'T: Abuse this power.

SPAM - Do not post crap in the forums.
DO: Encorage the FREE and OPEN rules.
DON'T: Encorage crap.

Conflict
* The FREE and FLAMES rules do not work well together. The best thing to do is just use the warn system. If someones post is very bad edit it, eve if theres nothing left.

Close/Delete
* No on likes having there posts deleted with-out reason. It's often better to edit a post.

* No on likes closed topics because of spam or flames. Use the warn system to stop people spamming or flaming.

Newbies/N00bs
* Remeber, there are many forum newbies out there. Don't warn them without saying why. Try not to warn, delete post, close topic of anyone under 5 posts.

Stupid
* I don't care how big your mod is, how many viewers you have brought to Ori, or how many ads you have clicked. If you make Origin look bad i will remove you, your team, your forum and your hosting.

End
* That all sounded very hard and cold. It should make moderating more clear for most people, if not read the doubt rule again.

Thank you very much. Things are much clearer now.

Well, when it comes to writing an expository essay about counter-insurgent tactics, I'm of the old school. First you tell them how you're going to kill them. Then you kill them. Then you tell them how you just killed them.

I almost forgot I had moderation powers... I really can't be bothered to tell people to be quiet most of the time, so I guess this works out nicely for me. I watched that "nice screens" topic develop and was laughing at Flyby's thinking he's so great, TFH team way overreacting, and finally the round of warnings everyone got. :)

Yeah, they're getting a talking to, and I'm still trying to decipher how we should make the rules all work together.
