I've recently installed Age of the Ring, and I'm trying War of the Ring for the first time. I really like all the new territories, but I noticed something strange.
I had Isengard (the faction) start at Isengard the territory. On my second turn (I'm using the Lothlorian faction), I initiated combat with them in that territory and destroyed them in realtime. I've torn down Orthanc, I've destroyed all of the walls, I've destroyed all of the wooden scaffolds, etc... There was no shrowd on the map for reasons unknown to me, but this allows me to know that there are no enemy units hidden somewhere on the map. I still have the game playing, trying to think of anything to vanquish them entirely. Any ideas would be appreciated. I'm reluctant to forfeit, but I guess I could if it's the only way to return things to normal.
Is it behaving like this by design? Have I done something wrong? Or, is this a defect of some kind?
Edit: I'm noticing this is a problem on any fortress territory. When I tried in on Edoras, the same thing happened. I'm able to workaround the problem by doing autoresolve, but that's less than desirable, because I have little control on the outcome.
