Going for a more accurate dol guldur?

 

Hard to say what looks good or bad. I assume the grassy section is orignal BFME 2, I think youll need more rooty looking textures to mix with the rock and cliffs.

 

I cant suggest without really knowing your intentions.

Still going...

Retextured the inside of the deeping wall. Theres no grass now. Ive cleaned up the textures from moving the deeping wall as well.

Finally worked out nearly all the kinks. Decided on some color pallette changes. Youll notice that when the map is set to nightcolors and use of the cliff objects mesh a little better. Ive tightened the outer wall of the hornburg its much closer to the film, as close as I can do, had to scacrifice the little bridge and door from the keep to the outer wall though.

Early is as early does...Taking some inspiration from the Hobbit, Mount Gram is a Goblin refuge. Though I plan to have the mountain open for player to pass through, it will have lots gobliny things inside....

Im fine with the decision. Itd make sense to disable the mountain trolls rock throw for mordor later as well. theyve got catapults. I dont remember any rocks getting thrown by trolls in the films anyway.

Some more dwarven love coming SEE's way

Early terrain and map layout, texture testing aswell. A unique map with 1 player facing 5, the advantage being a single entrance and a massive amount of height for the defending player.

SO I was thinking about adjusting the pitch to the hobgoblins/ gundabad guards, their voices are so deep its insane. I can alter the pitch without having to speed up the play of the audio. So Im going to mess with that today, see if it turns out good.

Its a little early, however from what was discussed - Lorien will mainly be lorien based. The units from the other sub factions will most likely be used. their implementation in the tech tree has yet to be revealed. Naz will want it to be based on realistic logic. So their may be spells or tech required before they can be recruited.

Hey Naz I sent a new audio file to the repo. Its scavanged blades to replace the forged blades upgrade completion audio. You'll like it, a little cut and paste job using stock audio from the game.

Well I ran into pink arrows today on the galadrim warriors in marchwarden costume......trying another fresh install.


EDIT: so I reinstalled over my previous 0.75 install - this time I right clicked the TDH installation Executable and selected run as administrator. I no longer have pik arrows on my galadrim.

It really is, the pics just dont do it justice. He even pulled off the floating bridge better than how I did.
