Reinstal bfme 2 and rotwk i had the same problem.

Hey guys.

How odd!

I've only just had the chance to come online and see this, but I rinstalled ROTWK and it kinda didn't work, so I reinstalled both BFME2 and ROTWK and it's worked perfectly.

Silly bug ;)

Still, it looks great again now, no problems at all and best of all my mod's intact.

Stil no further on the permanently killed by thing though lol.

Maybe for now it's just best I remove the references in that line of code for the 2 or 3 heroes I've added it in.

Hey olaeus you can find that in elvenstar mod II :alien: this is cool mod there were statues after heros get killed :shiftee: It is cool. Try to find out what is responsible for that in mod.

Hey dude, I downloaded that mod and although I saw something about "no respawn" I didn't see where it couldbe implemented, and not only that, I now have a new problem (because of that mod)

I installed the mod and played it, but I didn't like it. And when I tried to play my mod again, it wouldn't load, because of some macro or another from the Elvenstar II mod. So I uninstalled the Elvenstar II mod, and now, when I play mine again, the clickable icons on the Power Tree for both Men and Mordor (I've not tried the others but I bet it's the same for them as well) are corrupt!

They're just squares of white, so you can't see the pictures of which power to select or use. The text is still there, so you can tell what each button is, but the pictures are all gone.

No idea why this has happened. Perhaps I should reinstall the Elvenstar II mod, though I don't see why it'd make much difference. Why would a mod that saved automatically tomy BFME2 folder have any impact on my mod INI for ROTWK?

So....

Where in all the INI files is the data kept for the Power Tree icons? I think the Science file contains information about the Power Trees, but not sure if the icon stuff is in it as well.

I best go check.

If you - or anyone else - can help me on this, I'd be appreciative.

Damn modding, if it's not one thing (wrong) it's a whole lot of things (wrong)!

do you use -mod command or just simply putting the ini.big in the game ( for your mod ) ?

Hello again Dwar.

I think I have sussed it out at last :xcahik_:

You'll have to excuse me, as I am still only a month-old modder ;-P

I have seen lots of talk about this "-mod command" and have no idea what the hell it is.

All I do is open the INI file for the patch I am basing my mod from (ie, the U2.02 mod) and edit the stuff in there with FinalBIG. Not got a clue what -mod command is, sorry.

However, I have figured it out! My problem, that is. After things for the structures seemed OK when NOT using my mod, but not OK when I was, I looked at the difference.

That difference was the Patch (official) 2.01.

I opened that INI and saw it had loads of W3D files; I simply extracted them into my own mod INI (Ie, my version of the U2.02 INI) and then played my mod again and voila! The Angmar mills, Hall of the King's Men, Forge and Halls of Twilight all looking normal and working fine again.

This time, the problem really is sorted out.

Thanks a lot for your help, it's nice that someone cares :xcahik_:

no problem

Ahh, no, I jinxed it. After reinstalling, I tried out a mod from someone else, and it so happened that the AI picked Angmar. All looked fine.

I then restored my mod and meh! The problem is back....

So it has something to do wtih my mod, somehow. And yet, I've not altered anything. When I disable my mod, the problem is gone again....

Just a quick note to say I reinstalled the game and hey presto! All is resolved, it worked. The Angmar buildings looks as they should again. Hurrah!

Thanks a lot man, I owe you one :p
