Proton Torpedoes

I recently came up with an idea for the Proton Torpedoes...
what if they weren't able to bypass sheilds and they were made strong enough that it took only seventy-two torpedoes to destroy an ISD. Since this would make a standard torpedo armed squadron overpowerd you could make it so that once they are close enought to the ISD to launch most of the squadron would be lost due to their proximity to the turbolasers, making a fighter/bomber charge effective only if the capital ship was already shooting at another capital ship. This would make bringing support ships and maintaning and effectiove fighter screen important.

An idea about the lag

when I started a Operation Shadow Hand campaign today I realized that it laged for the first time ( I hadn't played it in version 1.1 yet) and the Thrawn campaign lagged worse than in version 1.0 , so I was wondering if the lag might be caused by some sort of code that was removed.

I know nothing about modding, so this is just something I thought of off the top of my head.

Since the answer to question two is that to make the mod tools the files were reverse engineered isn't that going against the part of the EaW license agreement because in the section of what you can't do, point seven says "reverse engineer the software, derive source code, or otherwise attempt to reconstruct or discover any underlying source code, ideas, algorithms, file formats, programming or interoperbility interfaces of the software by any means whatsoever, except to the extent expressly permitted by law despite a contractual provision to the contrary, and then only after you have notified LucasArts in writing of your intended activities."

so according to how the mod tools are made and what the license agreement says aren't mods breaking the license agreement?

AI not building space colonies

I was thinking about how the AI wasn't building spacecolonies and I figure it's due to it taking the place of the spacestation but using a different name and using the model for the Zhan spacestation, I think that if instead of useing spacecolonies go back to using spacestations as the base spacestructure but without the ability to build space units, then to build ships add five different types of shipyards.



Just out of curiosity does the Ai build Golans on it's own?

the only reason I ask is because sinse I'm not a modder I don't completly know the laws you need to follow when modding and I really don't want to do any thing illegal
