Do the new FX effects work properly in game?
(I know about a limit for upgrades, but I never encountered anything the like for FXs or particles.)

Colossal.
I've been following this thread in silent admiration for a while now, unable to realise how one can simultaneously create so many maps of such a high quality. It's time to raise my hat to you.

Concerning the interior part, there isn't too much room left once the AI starts to build it's bases. Therefore and in order to avoid choke points in the late game, I decided to make it that spacious.
But you've got a point there, maybe I can find some suitable gaps.
And yes, that bridge was quite a puzzle.

Okay, I'm glad that I misunderstood you.
However, I don't think you'll achieve this without using death animations, since making a unit falling down and laying there actually is their purpose.

You could set the destruction delay in the death behaviour to zero, this should skip the animations; or just remove all kinds of dying animation states.
About the second part of your question, I'm not entirely understanding what you mean. Do you indeed wish to replace a dead unit by ... a ragdoll?
