I can flatout say you're wrong there. Aside from label deals with Spotify and iTunes for short session EPs or exclusive special editions, most bands produce CD (and a fair amount of vinyl) records. Music has definitely not 'gone' digital, it just includes it as a distribution method in addition to physical media.
