#1003717 How to combine W3D model + (all) animations in one timeline (for like an anim...

oh really, how?

Im using the w3d importer plug in on max14, I select euhaldir_ata1.w3d and bring it into the scene where i have the base skin.,

I move the animated time slider ,and nothing changes with the skeleton?

I believe Haldir's animations are compressed using the adaptive delta algorithm, which makes them unimportable.

#997695 BFME 2 Nazgul Animation Replicas - anybody interested?

Posted by NDC on 15 March 2015 - 02:11 AM

Hi all,

As I mentioned earlier, I've taught the W3D Importer to get initial positions from BFME 2 animations. Although this doesn't sound that terribly impressive, this has been already a (hopefully) good launching pad for me to try my hand at replicating some animations, and, as suggested by the title, I started with those of a Nazgul (see screenshots attached). I think I'm pretty done with the bloke - just need to finish his dying animation (although it still might take some time).

Would anybody like to get the animation set? I'm fine about uploading it, I just need to know if there is enough interest in the whole thing.

#947576 Enhanced W3D Importer

Posted by NDC on 02 February 2014 - 04:35 PM

Hi everyone!
It's high time to resurrect and augment our good old W3D importer!
In this version texture import for BFME 2 files is fixed, and also you may split meshes by dependencies (it seems to be quite handy for working with animations of collapsing buildings from BFME 2).
Should you have any questions/observations, do not heaitate to ask me.

#911507 A couple of animation sets.

Posted by NDC on 21 January 2013 - 05:12 PM

Here I would like to present a few animations I have done recently.

First of all, I have been assembling animations for a mordor orc with a pike. Those are mainly based on the orc warrior's ones. At the moment, the list of them comprises the following entries:

muorcpkbr_atka.w3d

muorcpkbr_atna.w3d

muorcpkbr_atnb.w3d

muorcpkbr_atnc.w3d

muorcpkbr_atra.w3d

muorcpkbr_baka.w3d

muorcpkbr_bakb.w3d

muorcpkbr_chra.w3d

muorcpkbr_clma.w3d

muorcpkbr_diea.w3d

muorcpkbr_dieb.w3d

muorcpkbr_diee.w3d

muorcpkbr_dief.w3d

muorcpkbr_fera.w3d

muorcpkbr_ferb.w3d

muorcpkbr_ferc.w3d

muorcpkbr_flla.w3d

muorcpkbr_flya.w3d

muorcpkbr_gtpa.w3d

muorcpkbr_hita.w3d

muorcpkbr_hitb.w3d

muorcpkbr_idla.w3d

muorcpkbr_idlb.w3d

muorcpkbr_idlc.w3d

muorcpkbr_idld.w3d

muorcpkbr_idle.w3d

muorcpkbr_lnda.w3d

muorcpkbr_plta.w3d

muorcpkbr_pltb.w3d

muorcpkbr_pnta.w3d

muorcpkbr_runa.w3d

muorcpkbr_runb.w3d

muorcpkbr_runc.w3d

muorcpkbr_rund.w3d

muorcpkbr_rune.w3d

The muorcpkbr_dief.w3d animation is attached here as a sample (see the Animations Orc Pikebearer.rar file).

Later I may busy myself with making a few screenshots or videos to get across the idea of how the animations look in the game.

The second set, as it is written in the heading of the topic, governs the movements of a mounted Nazgul. It constitutes merely a scaled set of animations for the Witch-King from BfME II RotWK with a couple of additions, namely:

munzglrdr_idld.w3d

munzglrdr_idle.w3d

The whole latter set is enclosed (see the Animations Mounted Nazgul.rar file).
