Well yea, you wont need to reinstall the whole OS, but if you get cracked windows, you would, because store and some other stuff wont work properly :/

@Windows 8 subject,

First of all, Windows 8 is full of bugs, and after all there is no Windows 8 anymore, it's Windows 8.1.

Another reason why not go with Windows 8-8.1 is because there will be another Windows 8.x coming out (Microsoft announced), so you would have to re-format again your computer.

Imo, windows 8.1 is a great operation system, beautiful UI, but the only reason you would want windows 8.x is because of the Store.

If you want a stable OS go with Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate.
