Well, I don't know if this problem was posted before but here I go...

When I star the client everything is fine. But, when I try to play a skirmish or campaign the game just doesn't start (no error message, no nothing, just don't start) and then I'm back at the skirmish lobby or main menu if its a campaign mission. Here is the syringe.txt, hope it helps... since it has the save/load option I REALLY want to play.

Edit: Btw, I already tried rebooting.

I've encountered the same problem after my Windows 10 updated. The solution suggested by Speeder in the first post worked.

>>>Also set 'Run as Administrator' for gamemd.exe, Syringe.exe & MentalOmegaClient.exe.

>>>If it doesn't start matches, try rebooting your PC after setting all of these and see if it helps. If rebooting helped, let us know.

I've also set compatibility for all three files to Windows XP SP2. After rebooting the PC Mental Omega launched properly.

Are you sure? In both games, the AI doesn't use Chrono Legionnaires. I wonder why.

Allied AI used Chrono Legionnaires in vanilla YR in skirmish, especially on higher difficulty. They could send them straight away across the whole map to your base and to their death, or sometimes put them inside Allied Battle Fortresses/IFVs.

It was not particularly useful, but AI did use them.

This should be done in close cooperation with Speeder and other people who are responsible for the Mental Omega story.

Good idea. There can be a specific thread, an authorized wiki page or something similar.

For reasons unknown they used a real life world map for a completely fictional alternate history world with countries and borders which could never exist in Red Alert 2 (due to a completely different World War II in Red Alert 1), without providing any plausible explanation.

Well, sometimes Westwood were confused in their own lore. I have just checked the game manual.

RA2 states that the USSR was led by Alexander Romanov, while in RA2 manual his name is "Alexi" (Aleksei) – these are two completely different names in Russian.

And there is no proper explanation of previous events except for Stalin was evil, Allies defeated Stalin, now Romanov is evil and attacks the USA for the glory of mother Russia.
