bluemax,

your right about the ents being made by elves, though after they were created the entwives and the ents had kids, as it says in the ROTK book (not sure if it was in the manuscript or not) and one day the entwives disapeared, so no more ents.

ents can be summoned from the spellbook, why not by radasgat?

and also there are 5 wizards, not 4, the names are saurumon, gandalf, radasgat, allantar, and pallano. allantar and pallano are the blue wizards, though they are a specific kind of wizard like the forest wizard

1. Because EA is stupid like that
2. Summoned by a hero implies that the hero has some sort of power over them (for lack of a better phrase) to bring them there, summoned from a spellbook implies they were just brought there

A later quote (one that I can't be arsed to go find for this pointless argument) shows that he meant "faithful to their original purpose". Radagast, as was shown through his actions in the Fellowship of the Ring, did not abandon being faithful to Good; the reason why he was "unfaithful" was that, though he never abandoned Good for the sake of the animals/trees, he abandoned Elves and Men. I think he is a character much like Bombadil, Elrond, Cirdan, and Galadriel in that he would stay in his niche all the way until the storm reached his home; then he would defend it to the last.

Makes sense, he seemed like that kind of guy.

"Indeed, of all the Istari, one only remained faithful, and he was the last-comer [Olorin (Gandalf)]. For Radagast (Aiwendil), the fourth, became enamoured of the many beasts and birds that dwelt in Middle-Earth. and forsook Elves and Men, and spent his days among the wild creatures"

-The Istari Essay
From the Unfinished Tales.

Wait, if there were four, and three of them were Saruman the White, Gandalf the Grey, and Radaghast the Brown, who was the fourth, out of sheer curiosity?

Ok. I just liked the idea and thought I'd throw in my 2 cents.

I tink it don't work to place radagst in the elven faction because he is a wizard :).
If you really want radagast in the game my sugestion put him in rohan

I agree. Rohan and Mordor are the only factions missing a spellcasting/power hero. Works for balance.

Actuallhat would make more sense, putting him with the Eagles summon. Also i just had a brainwave: maybe you could put in (as i said before, in some later version) Denethor as a Gondor hero. There's a mod called the Lord of the Rings Realism Mod that has Denethor; maybe you could ask them to borrow the skin from them or something. Anyway, i was thinking he could have an ability like "Denethor's Madness". He does like double damage and gains more armour or something like that.

Well, you see, the problem with that is, Denethor is INSANE. He won't fight evil, even for his LIFE.

accually the brown wizard is the wizard of the FOREST, mirkwood elves are elves of the FOREST, notice any similarities? they may not be that similar but its a better place for him than anywhere else since he was in the forests far north of rhun. That means hes never been to rohan or gondor. you figure this stuff out when you read the LOTR manuscripts. ;)

my idea for the mod: since the brown wizard is the wizard of the forests id suggest he have a power to summon animals from the forests, ents, wolves, eagles, ect. I like the idea of the summon power for the wizard, just give him a long period of time. (unlike the balrog).

The ents, if you read the books, were created by the elves ages ago, and nobody remembers how to make them anymore. Radaghast definitely shouldn't be able to summon ents.

:(

Just add Raddy to the eagles summon if you make him. There's no other reasonable thing.

Of course there is! make him a Rohan Hero!

He really shouldn't be in anyway, seeing as how he renounced his Istari status in the first place.

Since when did Radaghast renounce that he was an Istari? He has always been an Istari, and has never rejected this. >_>

And even if he did, it doesn't mean he can't be in the game.
