But it IS possible. And if he has his own mod, he can simply send big file to his friend and play online with his mod via GR. Maybe there are better options, but he was asking about GR.

You can play on gameranger with mods, but only when mod files are packed in .big file. GR just do not like -mod commands. Just use FinalBig to create archive eg. "_mod.big", where you should pack all mod folders. If you do it correctly, you will be able to launch game with mod via GR.

All patch's models/tekstures will works, if you let it works: when patch adds in game new models/tekstures it will also have own asset.dat. You should recreate your asset on the base of patch asset, and everything should work :p

I don't know what will happen if patch have new model for unit that you had created model too - beware that situation. (As I think, mod should overwrite patch, but personally I didn't tested it - game can also crash :p)

When I told you to install 2.01 I was thinking about: install patch that asset has been used to create your asset. I completly forgot about 2.02! Anwyay, you understood what I was telling you to do :p

It was my pleasure to help you ;)

From that what you said, I am almost sure that i know the solution :)

So, on your previous computer you were creating a mod and an asset on RotWK with/without 2.01 patch.

As we know, 2.01 patch has own tekstures, with aren't included in unpatched game, and it also has own asset.

The answer is: install 2.01 if you haven't got installed it, or try to uninstall it if you have it now, but hadn't got it on old computer, and recreate an asset :)

I think that the first situation is more possible, so just try to install 2.01 patch. Hope this helps ;)
