Trust me, the engine can't handle The Witcher 3 assets. If you want The Witcher 3 assets in BFME, you'll have to make some yourself.

#1045552 BFME2 (Special Edition) SEE Patch 1.07

Posted by Lauri on 03 January 2017 - 09:54 AM

Well, a new game takes shorter because a team of professionals work on it every day for a long time. Unfortunately, they often have to clock in overtime too. And there's cases where people don't even get paid for longer periods. SEE however, is not done by a team of professionals, and is not worked on every day. In fact, it's worked on in peoples free-time, and not in work hours, unlike professional games. People have real jobs in addition to that.

So, if SEE is ever completed, it will take time.

Stay off the emoji's. Trust me, I've seen through the worst. I did a lot of emoji's in my youth (on Revora), and trust me when I say that you'll come to regret it.

I believe Geel can back me up on the addiction. It's terrifying. My most critical tip though: never end a sentence with a emoji  :thumbsdownsmiley:

#1017397 The Battle for Dale...

As far as I know the reason that PJ didn't use models is because he filmed the movie with High Frame Rate. According to him the effects would look very bad if he used models that way, so he used CGI as alternative.

Which ended up being a bullshit move. At any rate, I believe PJ could do a good job directing a new movie, but not with the all-say on everything, which seems like he had in The Hobbit trilogy.

Wouldn't want it though.

#1013324 How much stress do FX put on the game?

Or do it like I do. Make a new one every time. It becomes a part of you, and if your files get corrupted down the line, it's in your blood!

Besides, it's a quick process once it's semi-automatic.

Can I get a signed poster of this? I need something to ignite for a fire. Winter is coming.

That's grey. I'm not saying that as a compromise, it's gray.

Get you monitor set up properly. Of course, it might be my monitor, but why assume that I'm the one with the wrong settings when I can simply blame you?

#1010582 Error when exiting RotWK mod. [SOLVED]

Posted by Lauri on 04 August 2015 - 08:25 PM

That's how I used to mod. Confidence high, plow away! I had coded for many a years by then, so I hardly ever ran into bugs. Still, KISSing the code is important. Anytime I tried to do something that was new or rare territory for me, I KISSed it, one step at a time. Any bug I encountered was luckily in the start, rather than a random game.dat bug mid-game.

However, when you do encounter a bug mid-game, try to find the source. The best tip I can give is to play alone (no AI) as a faction (take the one you suspect first). Mod in 30x faster buildspeed and have a ton of money to speed up the process, along with 30x faster experience gain (so heroes level up to rank 10 by killing two goblins). Then build one thing at a time. First a hero, then another, then another. Try attacking creep on the map, with one at a time. Use all abilities. Pay attention. Does the game crash when your hero is hit? If that's the case, something's wrong with the armor code. Any so on, you get the idea. Try units too on this method, along with special powers.

You can also speed up the progress by using the AI, but having all of you be the same faction. It does increase the chance to find the faulty faction, but it's harder to know why it crashed. So you might try to use AI first, then remove it and play alone when you figure out which faction has the fault.

Gimli's anims probably look silly because he's comic relief in the movies, and thus move weird in the game.

#1005362 Jokes and stuff

Posted by Lauri on 08 June 2015 - 07:53 AM

I don't even see the funny part, so let me ask:

1. Is it funny that he's\they're poor?

2. Is it funny that they're getting married, because they're poor and wealth is more important than love?

3. Is it funny that he's not wearing a suit, because he's too poor to get one, but loves his wife-to-be so much that he doesn't let that stop them?

4. Is it funny because it's happening in Vaslui, a poor region in Romania, where people (probably) struggle, and we (the wealthy) make fun of them because it's socially expected of our elitist image?

Despite the fact that I am a firm believer that everything can be joked about, this feels more like mockery than a joke. The picture isn't the problem, the caption is. I don't even know why I care..

Great. Now the problem is: We can't see anything. Unless you show us pictures, we can't provide feedback. And if you don't want feedback, there's no point in telling us what you've made, is there?
