No, it is a bug. I looked up the problem on the forums, Windows98/ME users, when using the latest Rock Patch, the game starts and then just goes back to the desktop with no error message.

In the patch report for the upcoming Rock Patch, it said the bug was fixed, so it should work then :lol:

Just to let you know, the AI can build advanced units without tech center, just is more likely to build them if they have it probibly.

Infector Tanks on my game dont seem to work. Of course I am running on Rock Patch 1.6, and i dont think that patch has proper EMP support. I would be runnign on the latest Rock Patch, but there is a bug with the latest one that makes it so it doesnt run on Win98 :glare:

There are 2 slave miners, one of them is hard to find. Look just north of your starting position, and just south of the enemie's main base. There should be a slave miner there from my expereince, slaving on a random ore patch near the platoe.

For Soviets, in early game, belive it or not, but flak troopers and 10-15 Tesla Troopers can hold the base very well.

I managed to survive off of only 1 refinery and 5 elete Tesla Troopers for a long time against hordes of enemies. Elete Teslas's are extremely powerfull, and can destroy a batallion of tanks easily. A problem with them is that they are slow, and if the enemy AI uses snipers, you might have to retreat with them.

Also, try and garrison your troops, and have your defense forced infront of them. Why? The AI's artillery and attack force is priortized to attack garrisoned buildings. If you "lead" the AI twords your garrison and defenses around it, instead of your actual base, you can exploit this and let your defenses take care of them. Many times they will even ignore your defenseive structures shooting at them long enough for them to be easy work by a Tesla Coil or Sentry Gun, just so they can try and get close enough to the garrioon to shoot at it.

This doesnt always work though. Somtimes they will just forget about the garrison and go straight for the base.

I cant belive you can just upright throw down a peice of work such as this! Thats insane!

First of all, i have no idea why Fenris was banned.

2nd, if hes banned (the "orginal" author of the mod), then why are you quitting the project about some petty grudge against some non-creditiing modder who took over his own project, and made some changes that you happend to not like? HES BANNED!

3rd, if for some petty reason as i am understanding you really are going to just throw away all this work, then why not appoint a new mod author?!

I'd just hate to see such a great mod that was featured in several discussions/video's and was considered to be a great realisim mod in C&C be thrown away because you have a grudge against a modder who is banned.
