In Topic: Games break after installing CnC:Online

You say you use xP Virus Total and Malwarebytes but never said if you have added cnconline.exe and ifeo.exe to the global exclusions. and you seemed to bypass this area

check program Files\Revora\CNCOnline and make sure those files.. cnconline and ifeo.exe are there..if not its most likely your anti virus programs blocking them or other files the launcher is trying to execute. before you re-install either watch wot xP Virus Total and Malwarebytes are doing as you install or disable these programs then try to install cnconline..nothing to lose if your looking at a reinstall anyway..hope this gets sorted..

you must have some form of firewall on your system somewhere if not this is the least of your problems..XD

the only other problem people have had up to now relates to resolutions higher than one the games can switch to automatic. heres a copy of the post for the solution from steam if it is that..

The workaround is to modify your launch options to add:
-xres 3600 -yres 1920
(or whatever resolution your desktop is using if you aren't using 3600x1920)

To do this in steam:
1. go to your LIBRARY of games
2. right-click on "Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars
3. choose "Properties"
4. click the "SET LAUNCH OPTIONS..." button
5. type in "-xres 3600 -yres 1920" without the quotes (use your current screen resolution shown in windows if not 3600x1920)
6. Click "OK"
7. Click "CLOSE"
8. Play the game.

An alternative to step 5 is to use "-win" to play in windowed mode. That should allow any resolution. But I'd rather play in 3600x1920 full screen mode. ;)

other than that if you have no firewall you probably due a reinstall but i hope that helps but again..just another stab in the dark

Just a stab in the dark but have you added ifeo.exe and cnconline.exe to your antivirus exceptions? just with you saying a system restore.

not having these causes serious issues and some antivirus programs block them silently, avast must have updated last week and silently blocked cnconline.exe breaking the game until i re added to the exceptions.

also this is not mentioned in the common problems post mathijs..XD

hooking is a nitemare on steam version 1st time u open the launcher to hook the games, close the launcher and use the normal steamshortcut to open the game, then the launcher will open and you use the link on the launcher from there.

also is the launcher able to hook to multiple installs of the same game?

anyways..hope ya get it runnin

i also have this problem..looks like a windows re-install for me..:O.

did you try revert back to previous version of windows/system restore? it worked for QVIRINIVS..

let me know if it turns out to be a system problem...

Turns out to be an antivirus exclusions problem, ...again...mabey due to an update to anti-V software. I just needed to add CNCOnline.exe to exclusions.

also with this problem i could not re download the launcher but all this is now solved..for now..XD
