I got both BFME2 and ROTWK installed, but I can't launch any of the games. It keeps asking for the right Disc. Anyone able to help?

Get an old 32 bit computer that hopefully has some life left and your not being ripped off. There's your best answer.

well it's been a long time since this topic was created so i hope there is still someone to answer.

 

first of all is the game for win10 32x bit or 64x bit? because im using win10 64x bit

 

second,i've done everything the instructions said yet i still get the same error.

 

can you please help? you can help me through teamviewer too. I also deactivated the windows defender and the antivirus program still doesn't work.

Microsoft has done updates to kill old games.  This latest one did something funky to make it not read ISO's of that generation.  This game is meant for 32 bit machines.  EA Games won't get off their butts and release it for modern machines and instead only cares about pay to win mobile crap and sports games.  Whatever makes quick cash.   It's like Hearst on games we live in.

One particular game REALLY funky that was the first to be killed off was any game made by Dreamcatcher especially New Adventuers of the Time Machine it won't run on anything new and now even old. You could run it in a VM machine at one point but not now.

 

1. Download The Battle for Middle-earth II. http://www.downloads...fme2/bfme2.iso 

2. Download PATCH: https://www.gamerepl...me2-patch-1.09 

3. THEN LOAD THIS: http://server.cnc-on...line_2.1.3.msi 

4. INSTALL POINT 1 and 3. 

5. INSTALL point 2 and choose 1.09, press.

6. Download https://www.mediafir...cawk86152accgp5 and put it to the main game folder.

7. START LAUNCHER AND GAME, it's will start but then will lagger/freeze (it's good, just shut it down by task manager). 

8. DOWNLOAD http://mega.nz/#!LVU...NKO9jI7A6cjR2sMи AND MOVE IT TO %appdata% - My Battle for Middle-earth II Files.

 

9. (OPTIONAL). DOWNLOAD and install https://www.moddb.co...th-2-hd-edition, HD textures.

10. (OPTIONAL) Start "BFME2 PatchSwitcher" and choose to fix my resolution.

Just had the same problem and didnt find any med. for this.

Same problem. The latest Win 10 update screwed something up to not let the usual method work anymore.
