I went through these steps prior to starting this topic. The only step I missed out was installing GenTool as I didn't think that was actually necessary for the game to work. Also whenever I try to download GenTool Norton 360 says the website is malicious and when I skip the warning and download GenTool it says the file is infected with some kind of malware.

That hasn't worked either. I can launch the game through origin without the hooking enabled, it's when I hook the game that the problem arises.

Yes, I have also installed the fixed launchers

It was happening repeatedly for several hours between about 7 and 10pm BST. However it has started to work now, so the problem is solved for now. It may have been a problem with the internet on my end.

Problem is now fixed, Norton 360 was preventing the hooking from working
