I watched a show the other day about army ants. This also reminded me of locusts. How about killer flying ants that eat crops and flesh? Swam of the South or Swam of Harad maybe?

There could be a limited total not just limit linkage to the number of buildings. Is cave transport in BFME I this or perhaps a defensive or recourse aspect could give the building itself meaning.

I have made mercenaries in BFME 2. Low cost, fast build time but limited duration like summoned units.

Another idea maybe not as good is to make some units not buildable but generate slowly over time (with a max amount of course)

Seems like a very late response but since this mod is on a not progressing maybe if u posted a list of things that need done some of us can help with a few of them. Its not a team but a slow progression anyway.

Did anyone mention an "eye of the thrush" ability? This ability could give the archers of Dale a Range boost
Or maybe a "Shadow of the woods" makes units stealth for a short time.

Dwarves
This is a weird name but "Charge" I remember Gimli saying something about fast over short distances. Something that gives them a speed boost would be useful for a normally slow faction.

I'll think more on Harad but Sand Storm is a fitting final power. It could be coded as a wave

I sent the ones I had to robnkarla. He is testing them out. It appears Generals and BFME files are a bit different. They could still offer other advantages even if the rigging doe's not work as desired.
