Oh, sorry. My mistake. The impression I got was that the idea was sort of like junked due to impracticality, but it appears that I was mistaken.
In any case, what about the Zero? You could make the Gunbarrels as separate 'wingmen' units so that they can operate on their own.

Ahaha, I see my suggestion for Moebius MAs was acted upon.
Also, about the Requiem superweapon...I'm not so sure if this can be done, the weapon should actually sort of be 'ground-based', as Requiem was built into the moon. And the weapon could only target locations with 'relay point' units adjacent to them. (i.e if the weapon was built on Kasshhyk, a 'relay point unit' at Kessel will enable it to fire at Corellia or Bothawui. Sorry if my galactic geography may be bad) This might really be hard to pulloff, though.
I've seen one mod have an 'Axial Superlaser' thing mounted onto a capital ship, which enabled it to bombard the planet with that weapon. And the effect had Requiem written all over it.
Also, the Akatsuki could have 'deflection' properties like how Jedi deflect blaster bolts. But I'm sure you guys already thought of that.

Visually and functionally though, scale = hover, since scale allows for movement on water (and even underwater).
By the way, are you guys planning to implement variations of certain MS-types, like Jet Daggers or Cannon Daggers, etc?

About MAs, maybe you could think of them as 'TIE Fighters', which are clearly outmatched by the Rebels' mainstay X-Wing. You could make them many more in number (about 6-7), while reducing the number of GINNs in a squadron to 3-4. Besides, one way or the other, someone will have to deliver nukes, and having MS do that might imbalance the game since MS are a lot harder to kill. MAs are a good alternative, OR they could serve as bombers. Personally, I think the second option is more viable.
Speaking of MAs, what about Moebius Zero and the Exass? Will they have a place in the game?

Errr...how do I take a screenshot, by the way? I already did something noticable, and I'd like to submit it now...
The change I did was to give the Millenium Falcon a 'Proton Beam' ability. Now Han can really boast that his ship has weapons that 'rival a much bigger ship'.
