CNC3/KW crash using online button

Hi, when i click the online button on the CNC3  (1.9) or kanes wrath (1.2) main menu my game freezes and i have to force the game to close, i have followed the "

How to report issues" post but i when i access the CNCOnline_Log.txt it is blank so i'm unsure were to go from there

[C&C 3 and KW ] Freezing upon hitting 'Online'

CNC3 And KW

The game is hooked to the launcher, game does launch,  whenever hitting online the game freezes and have to end the program

the cnc online log is blank
