I'd hate to come across like an impatient whiner, but are you guys still working on the mod? The forums seem to be close to death...

The time left to finish the mod is defined by an integral of a distribution of probabilities taken from some number being the current percentage of completion to 100%. As this integral is a combination of a Gaussian and Frechet extreme value distribution, there is no analytical solution. Numerical integration techniques would have to be used, and these would require knowledge of the constants N1, N2, N3, D1, D2 and C3. As these constants are themselves functions of time, it will be very difficult to develop any kind of numerical technique to solve the equation.

Exams? :p

But historically, rams are perfectly able to tear down the walls of a castle, which could easily be two metres thick. It just takes more time than to batter down a gate, which makes it a bad strategy if you're attacking a castle that's well defended, as you'll be losing lots of men, but it was done at times, because ladders are often easily pushed back , and building siege towers takes lots of time (and a long lasting siege was not always in the advantage of the sieging army, as sometimes the stocks of the besieged would be better than the supplies of the attackers), while you need to give the walls some attention to harrass the defence.
