FC Beta 1.1

A week has passed and I have been busy with fixing issues mentioned by players and beta testers.

Changes.

Cameos added for all units.

Coorp and UF mcv´s added.

hogo´s maps have been fixed, less light and more AI efficient.

20% smaller infantry, and some minor touchups until the rendered versions are done.

Random player/AI is now working as it should.


Coorp changes.

Buildings stronger but cost more.

Thermion added, cloaked assassin. Places charges on any given object.

Sentry gun got 2 upgrades. Flame and plasma, loses AA ability when upgraded so keep that in mind.

Pause screen GUI fixed.


UF changes.

Ravens can´t land anymore but they are slightly faster.

Transport teleportation animations have been updated.

Overlord has recieved 3 upgrades, but lost the ability to redeploy.

Hunters can deploy and launch barrages of rockets, they are not accurate.


There are more changes but they are mostly minor.

Feedback and suggestions/ideas

Figured I would let the players come with suggestions about things they want to see. Anything goes, even monkey shooting banana bombs ;)

You might see your unit/building or idea showing up in the next release, with credits of course.

For those wondering if I am out of ideas and if that is the reason for this then, nah :D I have more ideas than I can use :p

Defender laser upgrade

Basic attack unit. Armor low, speed high. (Transport)

Good against: Light and medium armored units, medium armored buildings.

Mediocre: Aircrafts and hover units.

Future Crisis public beta

The Future Crisis staff has worked hard and long to get a new release out to public. It has now been almost a year since previous release.

What you can expect in the future:
  • Space battles.
  • 1 more side.
  • 2 more terrain sets.
  • More unique unit abilities.
  • Enhanced AI.
  • New infantry.
  • Campaigns (if time permits).
And alot more.

I really want to thank the testers for doing a fine job. Especially Nemoricus (you have all done a good job but if you see someone excelling you got to give them a pat on the back) the amount of work, feedback, suggestions and just general comments is well above what I ask for. I highly recommend you as a tester so if there is a mod team looking for an dedicated tester, this is your guy :closedeyes:

Install instructions and known issues:

Download and install NP SE (latest version).
Dowload and run the mod launcher.

Main menu got some funky colouring and odd bits (will be fixed for the next release).
Coorp pause screen has the wrong palette applied.

Random AI/Player is not supported, if you use that please do not complain about it on the forums, I know about it :xcahik_:

If you find any other issues just let me know :thumbsupsmiley: (if you find any easter eggs then keep them to yourself :thumbsupsmiley:)

The art in FC can be used in your own mod if you ask for permission (mostly because I want to know where it is used). Any work released already can be used without asking though :xcahik_:

The Eagles have been spotted

The Twin Eagles are a more advanced version of the unit transports for UF (seen in screenshots). They are equipped with high precision lasers, the lasers are not strong enough to deal with anything but infantry. Their main purpose is to scout and spot hidden units. The armour on the Twin Eagle has been stripped down to increase its speed but it can still take on most none anti air units.
