Why did Vader used the Avenger instead of the Executor

ok, i know this isnt really an inconsistency, but it occurred to me that in the beginning of RotJ, Vader's shuttle launches from an ISD2, specifically the Avenger, and not Executor. any guess as to why? i mean, it is VADER'S PERSONAL FLAGSHIP, after all.

Executor is a fleet flagship. It has a job to do besides just ferrying Vader around.

true, but Executor was going to be the Flagship for the Defense Fleet at Endor at least until the Rebel Fleet was Destroyed, so she would have had to been in the area anyway. and while you may not be able to hide a Star Dreadnought as well as an ISD, you wouldnt really need to, at this point, the Rebel High Command knew about the Death Star 2, and i dont think Rebel Intel. had enough manpower to keep track of Executor at all times.
and technically, Death Squadron was under the personal command of Vader. the Emperor pretty much gave him a blank check and said, "go kill me some rebel scum-cough-cough-dark side-cough-cough", and he did send his ENTIRE FLEET of 6+ ISDs and assorted other ships into an asteroid field to go after the Falcon, a light Transport, including the Executor, and even lost one of his ISDs to the chase.
