I still have some level of faith in Lucas, seeing that Red Tails was done by him personally as far as I've heard, and it looks/sounds like a pretty good movie (Then again, trailers tend to do that for you). I wouldn't be surprised if, since he seems to be tied up with Red Tails and Underworld, he's had lackeys making the important moves in all the new Clone Wars junk. Though, that decision isn't really a good one anyway.
Maybe I'm just a little overly optimistic, but aside from a few choice mistakes (Like Jar Jar and Jake Lloyd as Anakin), I don't really have any problems with the prequels.

Bounty hunters. We don't need that scum.

Interesting observation.I should also point out that 25 episodes/year works out to 16 seasons, which is pretty close to the actual time gap between III and IV, if they're thinking along those lines. This is all speculation though.
I just hope the whole thing isn't all bounty hunters...it isn't my favorite subject in Star Wars.

If they're really planning 400 episodes on primetime network television (likely Fox), it'll kind of have to be good. Or at least good enough to sell commercials. (Please don't include a doctor/lawyer/cop character!)

Hopefully Lucas believes he has better things to do than direct a TV show. I don't want to see endless shot/reverse-shot scenes where everyone's sitting on a couch or staring off into a background scene.

Er sorry about the post above.
Absolutely agree, perhaps as an end of season atrocity or something however I'd be happy with the idea of an omnipresent Empire, a feeling of their informants everywhere and a ruthless crackdown on people stepping out of line, or just give me the Star Wars version of Firefly.
Just don't let George Lucas loose with his CGI fest and directing by numbers.

The one specific thing I want to see in a motion Star Wars medium is a Base Delta Zero in full apocalyptic horror. It would also be good if the Empire were seen in a much more effective way rather than the bumbing fools who couldn't shoot straight.

My hope for the live action franchise is based on the fact GL won't be writing the scripts. With some good writers with repect for the original trilogy it could be fantastic. Anything in a similar vein to Firefly would be superb. It would be good if it got down to the little man again and appearances of Jedi and the like VERY rare to return their mystery, wonder and reverence. It would also be good if the Empire were seen in a much more effective way rather than the bumbing fools who couldn't shoot straight.

See: The Force Unleashed, which got points for being set in the early GCW, then lost them all due to the ridiculous storyline. But it looked pretty! Post 1999, the Jedi Knight series were probably the best ones for decent plotting, or at least decent explanations for the ridiculous numbers of dark side users...

Games have gotten more labor-intensive, and thus expensive, since the advent of 3D. It's harder for publishers to bet on a novel design, so you see more repetition than in the '90s. Doesn't help that graphics sell games, but rarely make them.
