Just to sum it up to ge tthis thread started, Giant robots playing basketball, sounds weird, but the action sequences are so nice.

I never said it didnt sound stupid, hell, I thought it was going to be shit when I first heard of it.
Just give the first episode a try and it'll remove all previous projections on how the show will be.

Heh, yeah they want a resume for everything nowadays, it sucks big time, I haven't got into anime yet, just waiting for the time till I do. Anyone got any things that I might find interesting, I like action...lots of action!

Basquash suprisingly has alot of action, high quality CGI robots playing basketball, if you can call that basketball anymore, in a good way.
Fighting action, I highly recommend Sengoku Basara. it's ongoing, subbed by gSS and Shinsen for the earlier episodes. the show takes action to a pretty new level.
Mecha action, try out Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. it's a very good show, action is very good. It can be a bit goofy at times but that's not really a bad thing.
I can recommend more stuff, but I'd have to get a feel for your preferences to do a better job.
Anyways, hope that helped.

no not yet. the only two things i've been watching are fma brotherhood (which has now completely branched off) and umineko.
