Problem: Going to and from college often and carrying my entire setup back and forth

 

Solution: Sell current setup for around $2000-$2100 and pay a little extra and end up getting an upgrade

Thoughts and Opinions?

 

Pros

+ Skylake

+ Micro ATX

+ Sleek Case

+ RGB / Modded to go along with Razer Chroma Peripherals

+ 144hz Gaming

+ 980ti

 

Cons

- Paying around $400-$500

- Lack of upgradablity (micro atx)

- Small but heavy???

- Bigger chance of getting stolen

How does this help with carrying your setup around?  Because it's smaller?  Try a Diablotek case.  I've carried that thing around college for five years, and even to England and back.  For me, it's never the tower that's a drag, but the TV + monitor.

Well i am already planning to upgrade the monitors. monitors arent that bad. just gotta throw them in the trunk with a couple pillows. the computer itself as of right now just sits on my lap and after awhile that can get really uncomfortable. I would prefer a micro-atx case which i can little carry in one hand and is the size of a monitor. haha

 

I do have a good laptop already but if i am going home for longer then 3 days i just bring the entire setup back. only live like 30min away from university. small car though, audi tt.

Another proposition that I was thinking about, I think I want to ditch the rad in the new build and go with a custom loop. Yes I know this will require some modding but i found someone who did it before: http://www.overclock...-some-more-days

 

I am not sure if I can fit a 980ti custom block in though. Time for research! Also, I need to part out the price. Might need a cheaper motherboard hmmmmmmm
