Every time i want to play i have to go to my C drive and click on the cnc online launcher "run as administrator" 

 

The game was down loaded off of steam and sits in my Steam drive and the CNC Online sits in my C drive, now not being good with computers I dont know if moving both to the same folder would fix this.

 

Running windows 10, to get the game to work in the first place i had to tell it to run in admin mode with compatabillty windows xp service pack 3 then tell it to use my gfx card.

 

Using a laptop MSI Stealth Pro if that helps with spec.

If the game is already hooked, you should be clicking on the desktop shortcut for the game and not starting the launcher. The launcher should start when you do that and then you start the game from there.

You can set a shortcut to run "as administrator" every time you use it by right clicking (or shift right clicking) the icon to bring up the shortcut menu, going to "properties" and then, under the "Compatibility" tab selecting the run "as administrator" check box. You can set the compatibility mode from there.

Thanks ToxicShock I will try this when I get home see if the shift and right click works it on windows 10

 

@ Plokite_Wolf I had read the threads before i posted, needed to just to try and get the game to work,  but you need to remember some of us are computer retards and don't understand what were doing as we didn't grow up with computers.

No, you didn't. If you actually read that, you'd have seen the procedure that tells you to make a Steam shortcut and would have, at the very least, posted your C&C:Online log.

Whenever I hear that, either online or IRL, it's coming from people who don't actually give a damn about computers. Then why do you care about this?

It took me all day just to try and find out where the files were hidden on my computer to be able to run it in administration mode. All I use my computer for is photoshop and now playing kanes wrath. I have no real need to know how my computer works except when I can't do a simple thing lime play a game.

Every time i play a game online it plays fine but after the game i always get disconnected from the internet, i can join right back and it works fine until after i have played the next game.

That is not really a very common problem in Kane's Wrath. It is symptomatic of having a weak internet connection. There is not too much communication with the server during a game (the game can continue to play without any connection with the server) and most of the communication is directly with the other players, whic can result in the connection to the server being lost (you may not even notice that until after the game is finished).

All I can suggest is taking the usual steps to improve the quality of your connection; use a wired connection rather than WiFi and keep mains electrical cables away from the telephone line (etc) into your modem to help reduce electrical noise.

You sure? I may be on WiFi, but I can punch 2.0 Mbps from where my computer is. And I get disconnected from the KW lobby as a "thank you for playing this match, please log in again".

I'm pretty sure that that is the normal cause, yes. We can look at your particular problem together and see exactly what is happening, if you want. I guess you're still set up with the stuff we used for early testing?

Hi, I am new and I am having still having trouble loading kanes wrath and the issue is "ssleay32.dll". And i have tried everything and need help it is an origin game

So I have had a problem where I have it hooked and it seems to be launching then the logo goes away and its gone and nothing happens no errors nothing
