just letting you know that using VPN solve the failed connection 1-2 error when both players are in same network (lan). at least it works, not sure if its matter but only host used VPN.

That's right. To make a coop game work properly, both players need to be on different LANs and one of the players using a VPN would, indeed, have that effect. Good tip, thank you.

VPN does indeed work fine.  I was able to get it working last night.

The VPN I was using (Overplay) has several servers available.  Seattle didn't work (I think port 30,000 was blocked).  The NAT negotiation test app showed that it was broken.  Toronto worked fine.

Which VPN and settings should be used in 2024-2025? Windscribe, Privado and Proton VPN all did not work (free versions or trials).

is there a full guide or video showing the details?
