Hello, I keep having a problem with joining games. It always says: "Failed to join - the game is a different version".

 

I have 1.04, from the "First Decade Collection"

 

I was looking for a solution on this forum and tried a few things, but nothing seems to work for me so far ...

 

I'm opening the game though the C&C:Online launcher and I have installed GenTool 

 

I've tried different compatibility settings and I'm opening both the launcher and the game itself as an administrator.

(for some reason when I use compatibility for XP (SP3) it tells me to insert CD even tho it's inside ...)

 

I've also uninstalled Hamachi

nvm, I reinstalled everything and it's working now

Good but don't use the launcher to launch Zero Hour or vanilla Generals. If you are only playing those two games, you should uninstall the launcher. If you have Gentool installed (which you need to play on the ladder), you just launch the game from its normal shortcut and you're away. Using the launcher will cause problems.
