VPN didnt work.
Did you try Security Kiss as VPN, and in case so, did you try all the servers from the UDP 5000 column?

I bought The Ultimate Collection from Origin yesterday and am unable to connect.
Error: 'Could not connect to C&C3 online'
Running Windows 10
I've tried everything: running C&C Online as admin, downloaded the C&C patch, turning off the Origin in-game option, launching the game from all possible ways (hooked/not hooked, etc).
Always get error 'Could not connect to C&C3 online'

Which games give that error? C&C3 is the only game I'm trying.
How I've tried to connect? I've tried it hooked and unhooked, with running admin and without running admin, using C&C Online to enter and using Origin to enter, with Origin in-game option on and with Origin in-game option off. I then enter the correct user name and password (the one I created at cnc-online) and I get error 'Could not connect to C&C3 online'. The only time I don't get this error is when I enter through Origin, and then the error reads 'Can not connect to backend server'.

I'll attempt right now for the next 5 minutes.

Half the time I cant get it to properly hook. When I do get it to correctly hook, I can not use C&C Online to launch. I'll try the shortcut on my desktop when correctly hooked but I'm pretty sure it wont work.

Didn't work using the desktop shortcut when correctly hooked. Get error 'Could not connect to backend server'.

When I had connection problems with this game, not the one that you (the original poster) are having right now, using a free VPN software when playing the game solved the problem for me. I am not sure if it works out in this case as well, I pretty much know nothing about this stuff but maybe it helps.
I am using Security Kiss as a free VPN. If you want to give it a try, start it before starting the game and try out the different servers on the list.

Did you speak to your provider?
Actually, can you check that the in game IP address is one on the network that you use to connect to the internet. If you have used Hamachi recently, that would hijack that address to its own address (it would probably begin with 25.*) and stop you connecting to peer chat.

For my friend with the same error, it was LogMeIn Hamachi. After it was uninstalled, the issue was resolved.
