Hi all,

I have been doing a bit of reading on multiple threads on here, but nothing that has worked for anyone else has worked for me unfortunately. I have disabled all AV, turned off firewall (just incase) but still seems to always throw that same log file error. Please see below the support ticket:

Game: Red Alert 3

DRM: Steam

Fault: Upon hooking and then launching the game as per the common issues, all i get is the splash-screen for RA3, see Steam shows im playing it, then it just crashes out, no error.

Log File:

----- C&C:Online Launcher Start -----
Game: Red Alert 3
Red Alert 3 Install Path: D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Command and Conquer Red Alert 3\
Started game with: "RA3.exe "
Caught CREATE_PROCESS_DEBUG_EVENT from Red Alert 3. Detaching...
ERROR: game.dat process not found.

OS: Windows 10
Hardware: GTX 1080, 7700k, Asus Maximus IX Formula.

If anyone could help me out i would be forever grateful. If you need any more info, i will be happy to provide.

Cheers,
Gingey231
Kris

Just to be sure, when you start the game from Steam, will you see a new C&C:Online launcher popping up?

When i launch it from Steam, it does the same thing where it pops up with the splashscreen, then closes and doesn't do anything else. No CNC-ONLINE launcher pops up though. If i uninstall CNC-ONLINE , it works perfectly fine (minus the online of course).

Can you open the Windows Registry Editor, and navigate to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\RA3.exe

And post a screenshot of its registry values?

The registry values are correct and shouldn't cause any problems...
if you add " -ui" (without quotes) as the game's command-line arguments, inside startup options, game properties, when you launch the game from the automatically-popped-up-launcher, will you see the game's control center?
And can you post the new error log again when you are trying to launch the game with -ui arguments?

Saying that, tried to launch into multiplayer and when trying to sign in, it says that a user is already signed in with my credentials haha. Ever seen that before?
