After downloading Red alert 3 throgh origin, it works fine and everything, but in order to play online I had to install the Launcher fix here .

now, here is the problem, when I launch the game, I encounter an error: Red alert 3 Launcher has encountered a problem and needs to close. we are sorry for inconvenience."

I tried hoking, disabled Anti-virous, but no avail.

the game works fine if I repair it (i.e: uninstall the fix) but this defeats the whole pupose of installing it.

has any one encountered this problem before? did you solve it?

 

system: Windows XP (the game works fine alone)

CNCOnline_Log.txt is empty.

 

edit 1: pretty useless as it is an attempt to launch while fixing

I understand that a recent update of Origin has been causing problems with the Fixed Launchers.    I think you're going to have to reinstall the game without the fix for the moment.

What a bummer.well, I'll use the chance and finish the Uprising questlines for now. There will be of course an update to fix this soon, right?

Bibber, who makes the fixed launchers is away at the moment.     I don't think it's going to happen this month.    There is no guarantee that it will happen at all, but I think we have hope though.

So does that mean CnC online does not work for origin Red alert 3 anymore?

No, it does work. You just have to reinstall without the Fixed Launchers for the moment. If you can't launch like that, I suggest that you make your own topic and post your error log. We will probably be able to help you if you do that.

Yes, Bibber's launcher has been updated (maybe twice) since then and the problem should be gone.
