hi there, havent had any luck actually connecting.

windows 8, steam version.

ive tried the hook, then opening through the desktop shortcut, as well as hook through steam, as well as no hook, game open, then click on ra3 on cnc.

i gave up after a couple hours earlier, came back to try, and it seemed like it connected on the first try, then wouldnt again.

my log:

----- C&C:Online Launcher Start -----
Game: Red Alert 3
Red Alert 3 Install Path: F:\Steam\steamapps\common\Command and Conquer Red Alert 3\

Found game.dat process. PID 9576
ERROR: Opening the process with PID 9576 failed. Error Access is denied.

ERROR: game.dat process not found.

EDIT: retarted pc and am now getting a different error, but this is log now (looks like it is no longer telling me cannot connect but a new error)

Try this:

ViperMkVII:

You can also try this method:

Unhook your game so you can start your game normally;

After having started your game, switch to the desktop, then start C&C:Online, and click the RA3 button inside the launcher.

Then you should be able to log in in the game (but if it failed, the log in will fail with message of "Cannot connect to the backend server").

If that doesn't work, you can try to end RA3.exe process with your task manager (If you are using Windows 8 /8.1/10, do not end the process called "Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3" in the process tab, that would terminate the game; Instead, go to Details, find the process called RA3.exe and end it) before starting RA3 from C&C:Online launcher.

If the above solution doesn't work, since I did noticed "Access Denied" in your log.

Can you also double check if you are running the launcher and the hook as Administrator since CNC Online requires that in order to push changes through.

What you also can try is the following as a troubleshooter.

== CNC Online/Gentool ==

1. First Create a Revora account, once you have done that, please go to this link and create a server login account. https://cnc-online.net/en/account/

2. Download and install CNC Online from here:

(Heads up, some anti-viruses are known for blocking CNC Online's installer, might be a good idea to temporary disable your anti-virus and add CNC Online to the exception list, after that re-enable your anti-virus)

Generals and Zero Hour: http://www.gentool.net/

C&C3, Kane's Wrath and Red Alert 3: http://server.cnc-on...nline_2.0.7.msi

If the link above doesn't work, then follow this link instead: https://cnc-online.net/en/download/

3. Make sure you have one of the CNC Online covered games installed before running the launcher.

4. Run the Launcher as Administrator. On top of the program there's a menu called "Hook" shown as follows. http://prntscr.com/hvvdld

5. If prompt you want to run ifeo.exe, click on "Yes". Since CNC Online requires Admin Permissions in order to make certain changes.

6. After that, close the launcher and try to start as example C&C3. It should start CNC Online Launcher instead. This indicates the hook is functioning as it should.

7. Now click on the button of the game you've just enabled the hook function on and you should be redirected to CNC Online's server instead of the original.

The login credentials required can be found in here. https://cnc-online.net/en/account/

Account name is required for C&C3 and Kane's Wrath.

E-mail address is required for Generals, Zero Hour and Red Alert 3.
