Hi,

I got a new cable router and faster connection from my provider. Since that, i cannot connect to other players. I use th DVD-Version on a Win7 system.

I never had to make changes with the old device to have con to other players. All worked fine until the change.

What could be the problem? Do i have to make settings on the new device?  Please help me...

Diagnostic Tool Output und Log.txt are attached.

Sorry. I am pretty much on my own here and overwhelmed. I let that one slip through the net. The fact is, that problem is common with your provider and I don't really understand why it happens.

Do you have full IP 4 support rather than dual stack lite?

Hi ToxicShock,

Then thank you, that you still found time to answer. :-)

I know about con-problems when using IPv6 support. I had the same problem in the past and called my provider to change it to IPv4. It was also my idea that the router and tariff change reversed the change.

So I visited one of those sites where you can test it and it told me that IPv4 is enabled and IPv6 is not.  Never heard about Dual Stack lite.

Should I ask my provider if Dual stack lite is activated? And if so, must it be deactivated?

PS: Excuse my bad english...

What you need to ask them for is full IP4 support. Dual stack lite is a way of providing IP4 support over IP6 and I think it gives problems. I am pretty sure that other people having problems with your provider have solved them by activating full IP4 support.

Having the same issue here. I am pretty sure "AtrejuOne" is from germany aswell? Googled if switching from IPv6 to IPv4 is still possible, but it doesnt seem like it is. Atleast with my internet provider ("Unitymedia")it isnt.
Seems like TW and KW are off limits for Germans then? Since you have no idea how to fix whatever is going on?

You could always use a VPN. Other users that do not have IP4 support have done that successfully. See this post for some options.

Some VPNs:

surfeasy.com
privatetunnel.com
securitykiss.com

The best thing to do is to google though because it is better to find a provider with a connection node closer to you.

Hi! I have the same issue, but I can't use VPN.

I already enabled DMZ, open UDP 16000, enabled UPnP, but I can't start the game because I have bad connection. When I disable DMZ I even can't connect to lobby, but NATNegTest.bat returns SUCCESS status and informs me that "You do not have to use port forwarding.".

I also read different forums almost one week and I tried different solutions like buy a network wire and connect it to PC, disabling all firewalls, uninstalling antivirus, opening all ports from 8080 to 65535 (also 443, 60 etc.), disabling all network adapters except main network card, disabling IP6 protocol and more and more (sorry, I can't remember all things).

So can you help me please or give some advices?

Thank in advance!

Hi,

sorry for the delayed feedback. I have currently problems with my dvd drive aswell, so it took me a while to start a new try.

Now I'm done and it seems like the issue is solved:

I called my provider and they enabled full IP4 support. I joined 2 games and had good connection to all players!

Thank you very much for your help!

@DasDuelon

You are right, I'm from Germany and my provider is Vodafone. Isn't it possible to change to ip4 with Unity-Media for sure?

I hope you guys get your con-issues solved too, so we can meet online for a couple of matches shortly! :-)
