thanks for the reply, toxic. i already found a solution. the trick is: do not touch the game.dat.

you only need to overwrite the zh.exe to play without cd.

hey guys, been a while since i played this game (actualy generals). to get to the problem.. when i run the game gentool says "i have a cracked binary" and it may cause incompatibility. of course, as soon

as i try to join a game i get the message: "the game has a different version". further it looks like something removes the launcher (?).. always have to replace the game.dat to be able to launch zh again.

i assume my no cd crack may cause this issue. however, somewhere i have read the developer is gonna fix it  - that was in 2014 - yet i get this message. i appreciate any help/solution

thanks in advance!

I suggest that you post in the GenTool Support Forum on gamereplays.

However, you could try running the game as Administrator and with Win XP SP3 compatibility to fix the game version problem.
