Use the Infantry template which is part of the attachment in THIS thread. I cannot vouch for how you set up your speech path to that unit.
Also in your speech_directory path in your EBPS is it set as "Speech/Races/Orks/Obosszagstruk"

I guess it's the FDA files being corrupted as I used your template.

Well you need to properly convert them from WAV->FDA using the tool.
Posted 09 July 2019 - 05:13 PM
That is a problem of course.. the converter is best used with WAV files.. nothing else. You also have to ensure the WAV is not corrupted or in some odd state re: bit level.
Best to extract example FDAs you know work and ensure your WAV files match those details.

I can't get the wav files to turn into FDA files I use the tool but they're still wav files.
It says invalid WAV file even though it works.

Dunno... the WAV files maybe are not the standard required. I do this sort of thing all the time.

Is this a custom whe/whm model you are using that has Nobz speech paths in the whe? Seems that way which is fine.
Which voice template did you use? Infantry was the one to use.

I did use the infantry squad template and he uses a stormboy nob leader model for now.

As a test, extract the full Stormboy speech path and use that in your own project. Same result?

I done a simiar test by moving my files to the grethin but it makes everything beep even moving and selecting even though I didn't touch them only attack.

Use the vanilla Stormboy speech path within the SGA or use a complete speech from a character we know works 100%.
To clarify once more, in your EBPS of your unit it looks as follows:
GameData["ui_ext"]["speech_directory"] = "Speech/Races/Orks/Obosszagstruk"

Try and use this speech folder then. Its the extracted Stormboyz speech from the game which must work. It only has the bare minimum speech events like Unit_Complete, Selection, Move, Attack, and Jump.

Something isn't right on your end then. Unfortunately I cannot take all day to troubleshoot it.
Best to check other existing mods out there to get a sense why it works there and not with yours.
