Hi, to cut to the chase, I was wondering if changes made to the C&C Launcher to make it wine/linux compatible in some form. My game of interest, Red Alert 3, runs just fine on linux through Valves proton project. However, no matter what I do with the C&C launcher, I can't get the game to properly connect to the online servers. The splash screen just shows up, and then closes. The UI for the C&C launcher works just fine though.
To me, it does not matter if you make a native client, change the C&C launcher to be wine compatible, or make me/us do manual changes to my system to accomplish what C&C launcher does automatically. I just want to be able to enjoy the fun I've gotten via unideal workarounds such as dual booting or making a virtual machine.
I also own and play the game via steam if that matters, and would be willing to provide assistance and if you are curious list every single thing I've done to get the client working.
