HI,

I've been away for a very long time; now back.

This may have been asked before but I couldn't find it if it has been.

I currently have only have the original DVD version of C&C 3 TW and that works on Revora but there are very few TW players online these days.

My TW DVD is also damaged and while it will run the game on this 7 year old PC it is no longer installable from the DVD - if this computer dies so goes the game.

So what I need to know is:

  • Which, if either, of the Downloaded Steam, Origin versions and disk version (yes they can still be obtained - I think)  will work better?
  • Will buying the individual games  I want, either on disc or by download, work better than buying the ultimate collection?
  • Is the Steam remastered ultimate collection better than the origin version? Is it equally compatible with Revora?
  • Does the ultimate collection come with all the media (videos)?
  • Do the downloaded versions come with all the media (videos)?

Thanks

To answer your questions:

1. Out of the steam, the origin and the disk version the steam version tends to have the least problems

2. The ultimate coillection does have its own bugs but it does have its fix as well and its the cheapest way to get the cnc games and the only way other than some old disks to get generals, so if you are interested in that game i would recommend buying the ultimate collection on origin

3. Steam remastered ultimate collection as far as im aware only has the remastered version of the first games in the franchise and they dont need revora as they have running EA servers

4. Im not certain what you mean by "media" but in the origin ultimate collection the campaign is accessible and so is the option to save, import and watch replays

5. As long as you use legit versions of the game e.g. from steam, origin or disk all the content like campaigns and replays should be accessible

Thanks for the reply xads.

By "media" I meant the video/movie clips:- including the opening video that sets the stage for each of the preset campaigns and those that precedes and follows each mission in the campaign.

Decided to buy the collection from Steam and found they don't have the ultimate collection; they only a few of the individual games - unless I'm mistaken?

That being the case it now comes down to buying RA3 and Kane's Wrath individually or buying them all in the ultimate collection from either Origin or

on disc..

The "media" should be present in all of the licensed versions of the game, and yes steam doesnt have an ultimate collection like origin however its known to have less bugs and the ultimate collection is pretty much the only way to get generals if you ever wish to play that game.
